Although the ancient pagan custom of etching or tattooing symbols on human flesh was forbidden by God, Tattooing for Jesus by David Cloud reveals that this heathen custom is now being introduced to the churches. "Reporter Douglas Todd of The Vancouver Sun visited the Vineyard Christian Fellowship in Langley, British Columbia, and found that tattoos are the newest 'in thing' for Vineyard Christians. Amy Bonde, who is a staff member at the Vineyard in Langley, has a large Celtic cross tattooed on the small of her back. Encircling the cross are Hebrew letters that allegedly mean, 'I am my beloved's, and he is mine.' Bonde says the tattoo signifies that she looks upon Jesus Christ as her 'lover.' Another Vineyard member, Peter Davyduck, has a tattoo of the word 'SIN' on his ankle. He says this is a message to 'judgmental Christians that everyone is a sinner and should be accepted in spite of it.'
"The Vancouver Sun report notes that the tattooing represents 'a sign of a seismic shift in evangelical Christianity, which has been associated for most of this century with harsh rules about controlling one's body: no dancing, no long hair on men, no pants on women, no drinking, no dancing, no jewelry and certainly NO TATTOOING.'
"The Bismarck Tribune (North Dakota) ran an article in November 1998 about the Christian Tattoo Association operated by Randy Mastre and two other members of New Song Community Church in Bismarck. Their goal is 'to bring Christianity to tattooers.'

Encarta also relates tattooing to branding, which is used to display ownership: "Branding: originally, searing of flesh with a hot iron to produce a scar with an easily recognizable pattern for identification or other purposes. Branding was formerly used on human beings... Branding today is often done with chemicals, tattooing, paint, tagging, or ear-notching... Used at first primarily as proof of ownership... " SOLD OUT OR SELLING OUT? Rita Elkins, a reporter for Florida Today, states in the article, "CHRISTIAN PUNKS HAVE PIERCINGS, TATTOOS AND...RADICAL FAITH," that this "radical" approach is being undertaken by young people across North America. Rita Elkins writes: "...Reflecting a national trend, hundreds of teens and young adults from Titusville to Sebastian are combining punk appearance with a radical Christianity based on the Bible and a personal, often deeply emotional, relationship with Jesus Christ.
"Between 100 and 300 Christian punks show up wherever their favorite bands play, including a Sunday night worship service and Bible study called 'Deeper' at Tabernacle Church in Melbourne. 'A lot of people look at us different because we have piercings and we're Christian,' says Ashley Wecker, 15,...At last week's Deeper service, she was sporting silver jewelry in multiple-pierced ears and in one pierced eyebrow.
"'I struggled with it at first,' admits her father, Richard Wecker, 50. But after hearing a pastor ask if parents would prefer children who are 'sold out to Christ,' or children who 'are basically formed in our image,' Wecker says he relaxed...
"If their heart is after Jesus, what difference does it make? He's given me at least a peace about it, as long as I can see where their hearts are." 4. It is appalling that Christian leaders would encourage disobedience to God's command against marking the flesh. The aforementioned parent probably discerned that tattooing was wrong but was persuaded otherwise by a pastor who regards disobedience to Scripture as being "sold out to Christ". This article also reported that with tattoos, Christian youth are right in step with their unbelieving peers -- no separation from the world for Generation X Christians! .... JUNK RELIGION Tattooing with various and occult symbols and terminology is preparing Christians to accept a physical mark in obedience to the Antichrist and his miracle working False Prophet. In order to mainstream this heathen custom, all legal hindrances are being removed. Tattooing has become a Court issue in the United States--even a matter of "protected rights". An article in the Boston Globe article by Joe Sciacca, "I (heart) Mom, but I can't put it in writing" on May 3, 1999, reported that the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) was suing the State of Massachusetts so that tattoos are a protected right and available in all states. At this time, they are illegal in Massachusetts. 10. The ACLU lawsuit is based on some of the ideas expressed by Sciacca: "What's really in at the moment is tribal art or 'blackwork,' intricate designs and patterns." "Persons across the cultural spectrum of America have tattoos," the civil liberties suit says. "Estimates of the numbers of Americans in certain age groups who have tattoos range as high as 30 percent. "Persons obtain tattoos to demonstrate their lifelong commitment to other persons, institutions, religious beliefs and to political or personal beliefs," the suit maintains." 11. It is reported that some New Agers have already accepted the "mark" as part of their initiation ceremonies. "A growing number of New Agers HAVE ALREADY UNDERGONE AN INITIATION CEREMONY AND ACCEPTED THE MARK. They almost universally report that although they approach the ceremony with dread and foreboding, after it is over... 'I discovered that the LINES ON THE PALM OF MY RIGHT HAND HAD BEEN ALTERED, and a portion of them now FORMED A SIX-POINTED STAR about an inch in circumference. It terrified me when I first spotted it... But as time went on, I learned to accept the changes within my body, and I really felt quite special." 12. We have seen how "Christian" youth are being told that tattooing sets them apart as 'special' or chosen by God for a unique purpose. Msgr. Georg Ganswein, the Pope's secretary, was interviewed in Friday's edition of Germany's Sueddeutsche Zeitung Magazine. Though the interview covered many different issues, his comments about Islamic influence in Europe, and what Catholics should do about it, may prove to be the most controversial.

| | Msgr. Ganswein was asked about Pope Benedict's September 2006 speech in Regensburg, Germany, and its criticism of violent trends within Islam. Though the Pope may have intended to warn against religious terrorism, his remarks aroused fury throughout the Moslem world, developing into actual violence in several places. Arabs in Palestinian Authority-controlled areas attacked seven Christian churches, a nun was murdered in Somalia, a call for the Pope's death was issued in London, and Iraqi groups threatened the Vatican.
"I believe the Regensburg speech, as it is known, was prophetic," Msgr. Ganswein told the German magazine, because it countered a "certain naivete" among people who do not recognize that various currents exist within Islam.
"Attempts at the 'Islamification' of the West cannot be denied," he said, according to an English translation in the Catholic Explorer. "And the associated danger for the identity of Europe cannot be ignored out of a wrongly understood sense of respect... The Catholic side sees this clearly and says as much." True respect, Ganswein said, is shown in a dialogue with Muslims that is frank, open and honest.
The Pope's speech in Regensburg included a quote from a 14th-century Christian Emperor, who said, "Show me just what Muhammad brought that was new, and there you will find things only evil and inhuman, such as his command to spread by the sword the faith he preached." Several days afterwards, the Pope related to the speech and the storm it caused. He did not apologize or retract his words, but rather expressed his "deep regret" at its consequences, saying the quote was misunderstood to be his own opinion. He also noted his "high regard" for Islam.
It remains to be seen what type of Islamic reaction will be caused by the papal secretary's warning against the Islamification of Europe and the "associated danger for the identity of Europe."

| Separation or Chaos? Life or Collapse? There is life and there is death! |  The State of Israel has entered a sort of values vertigo. The heavens are the earth, the earth is the heavens, good is evil and evil is good. The first obvious expression of this vertigo was Rabin's handshake with Arafat on the White House lawn. It blurred the distinction between friend and foe, good and evil and justice and depravity. "Behold, I have set before you today life and goodness, and death and evil."
(Deuteronomy 30:15) There is good and there is evil -- and not as the paganistic post-modernism would have us believe. There is life and there is death. Life is created by separation. The cell divides, differentiates and develops. The primordial default is death and confusion. In the beginning, there was chaos and disorder and darkness on the face of the abyss. Then the Creator of life began to make separations. Between light and darkness, between the sea and the dry land, between men and women and between the nations of the world and the Jewish People. Life is not static. In order to preserve life, we must always invest energy in making separations. Every mother knows that the natural condition of the house is "a mess" and how much energy must be invested on a constant basis to preserve the separation that transforms the mess into a living and functioning household. Death pulls us inexorably toward its depths. Materials that are not separated will mix together. If we want to keep them alive, we must invest energy to separate them. Chaos and disorder, the blurring of distinctions, the pagan enticement to give in to the whirlpool that draws the world down to its death -- are all forces that the Nation of Israel must face. These forces of death always wrap themselves in an enlightened and preening cloak. They present themselves as the pure beauty of life. They speak in the name of order and civilization. But in truth, they serve chaos and disorder, darkness and death. "Why did you insist on ruling that two men constitute a family?" Chief Justice Barak was asked. "If the homosexual partner is eligible for compensation, you could have awarded it to him on a regular contractual basis. Why mix laws of matrimony into the ruling?" In typical dictatorial fashion, Chief Justice Barak felt no need to explain. It is unlikely that he himself understands the forces that motivate him. But in essence, he used all the dictatorial tools that he had created in order to foster confusion. Confusion of values, confusion of sexual identity, confusion of the family unit, confusion of our national identity, confusion of our territorial borders, confusion of separation and return to chaos, disorder and death. The chaos and confusion of good and evil into which Israel has plunged have a profound affect on our lives and well-being. Over the past week, we have seen the man most responsible for the dangerous security situation in Israel's north appointed to be Israel's Defense Minister. We have seen the man most responsible for Israel's deathly descent into the depths of Oslo elected to be Israel's President -- on the very day that his entire fantasy collapsed in Gaza. And we have seen the courts and police force a planned abomination parade in Jerusalem down our collective Jewish throat. The solution to this disastrous state of affairs is obvious. Last week, Moshe Feiglin wrote that despite the solid support that Ami Ayalon had received for his candidacy in the Labor party primaries, he was betting on Barak. Why? Because Barak, the person most responsible for the scandalous retreat from Lebanon and Israel's consequent defeat there last summer, better fulfills the Left's desire to lose elegantly and be finished with this bothersome State of the Jews. On Tuesday, Feiglin's prediction turned out to be right on the mark. If anybody still has doubts as to where the Left has set its sites, former Knesset Speaker and Jewish Agency Chairman Avraham Burg's new book "Defeating Hitler" makes the picture crystal clear. In an interview in Ha'aretz Weekend Magazine, Burg declared that there is no need for a Jewish state. He added that he is in favor of abrogating the Law of Return and calls on everyone who can to obtain a foreign passport, as he has already done. And now, while these lines are being written, the Knesset has elected Shimon Peres to be the next President of the State of Israel. In other words, Israel's new President is the man who -- with hefty funding from the European Union -- sold Israel down the Oslo river, betrayed Israel's agent, Jonathon Pollard and continues to work hand in hand with Israel's enemies to ensure that the State of the Jews will self-destruct and transform itself in a state of all its citizens. It is the ultimate Leftist dream. What more can we say? His observations are even more relevant today, and his conclusion is absolutely urgent.

When Ruth Matar of the Women in Green movement called to ask me to speak at the demonstration to be held outside the birthday celebrations for Oslo architect Shimon Peres, I hesitated. What could I do -- for good or bad -- near that criminal? "You don't understand." Ruth told me. "People are coming from all over the world and from all of Israel's high society to honor him." The problem is not Peres as a person. It is about the acceptance that this celebration gives him and the sense of absolute legitimacy that it lends to his path. Whoever celebrates with Peres is still totally enslaved in the chains of Oslo. After this glittering party, nobody can say that the Oslo process is dead. It is still alive and kicking and demanding its regular pint of blood. Oslo will continue to dictate our path until its architects are punished and forced to abandon the public arena in disgrace -- just as the traitorous Vichy government could not come to an end without Petain being brought to trial and expelled from French society. So I came. Women in Green were authorized to protest on a traffic island on Rothschild Boulevard -- far enough away from the site of the birthday celebration to ensure that none of the party-goers or the masses of journalists covering the event would be exposed to our calls. About 300 protestors came. It seemed to me that this traffic island was a modern-day Noah's ark. It was to this ark on Rothschild Boulevard that the last sane people -- survivors of the flood of madness that the Oslo decade had wrought upon us -- gathered before they, too, would be swept away. An entire state cuts food subsidies for hungry children, but spends millions to aggrandize the man who steered us straight into the march of death, poverty and shame of Oslo. The charred bodies of children are removed one after the other from a Jerusalem bus, a bridegroom gives his bride her wedding ring -- in her grave, and the person most responsible for 1,200 stories like this celebrates his birthday with pomp and circumstance in the company of the entire Who's Who of the State of Israel. Deputy Prime Minister Ehud Olmert is appointed to coordinate the event. The President does not miss the opportunity to rub shoulders with the Israel-haters that the birthday boy calls his friends, Binyamin Netanyahu finally finds his place under the sun and Ariel Sharon is no longer able to see from there the things that we can see from here -- in the Noah's Ark of the sane. How crazy can we get? I remembered the words of a great and modest man who has since passed away -- Lt. Col. Shlomo Baum, who was Sharon's deputy in the legendary Unit 101 in the 1950s. "Shimon Peres," said Baum, "does not care if the State of Israel turns into a heap of ashes as long as he -- Peres -- is standing at the top of the heap." "Look," I said to the rational people in the Noah's Ark on Rothschild Blvd., "you are the last remaining sane people. Who are you shouting to? Peres? Who do you expect to save us? Sharon? Bibi? Mufaz? They are all inside, celebrating with the Oslo architect. We are floundering in the flood of madness. Whether we like it or not, we are the last hope of the State of Israel. Nobody is demonstrating today. Deep down, the Israeli public understands that there is no one against whom to demonstrate. A son may cry out to his father, but a captive doesn't cry to his captor. If he still has the will to live, he does what he can to escape to freedom." If we do not take responsibility and if we don't establish leadership for Israel from this ark of sanity, if we continue to look for solutions from the people celebrating at the birthday party, we will be back here on the 20th anniversary of Oslo. I heard on the Israeli English news this morning, Tuesday, 29 May 2007, that the Israeli Ministry of Tourism has adopted a new theme to attract young people to Jerusalem: Two queer men with kipot (kipas) in an embrace. I would appreciate it if anyone who sees the picture would send me a copy -- not that I would aid the campaign by posting the picture, unless in a distorted form that shows the decadence that's promoted!! PS. Please correct me if my info is wrong in any way. As I've said, I heard it fleetingly on the radio at the iba.org site.

It's only on 23 June, so we have time to wage spiritual warfare to prevent this abomination in the city over which Jesus wept. I'm not sure what time it will be and it might only take place in a secure venue to protect the queers against agitating normal people
