(IsraelNN.com) The Kuwaiti newspaper Al Siyasah reported Monday that the Katyusha attack which hit the northern Israeli city of Kiryat Shemonah on Sunday was ordered by Syrian President Bashar Assad. The paper said that Assad was angered by the stance taken during a meeting of Arab League Foreign Ministers which promoted the further removal of Syria from Lebanese affairs.
A previously unknown terror group, the Jihad Badr Brigades, claimed responsibility for the attack. The Kuwaiti paper did not report how directly Assad influenced the attack.
