April 9, '08 Israel Facing Severe Leadership Crisis by Sarah Morrison  (IsraelNN.com) Former Director General in the Prime Minister’s Office under then-Prime Minister Yitzchak Shamir, Yossi Ben Aharon, recently discussed current leadership in Israel with IsraelNationaRadio's Yishai Fleischer. Ben Aharon, who has served in almost every Israeli government, believes that Israel is facing a "very severe crisis of leadership."  "It is for the simple reason that previous leaders have failed time and time again [at peace]," Ben Aharon said. "Current leaders fail to understand the lessons derived from failures in the past. They don't study the reasons for the failure. Therefore, they fail to adopt the policy that will take Israel into a new reality that has hope and some kind of prospect for a better life for our people."
  Ben Aharon is not looking for a Messianic type of peace, but a peace that won't allow things such as the Sderot crisis to happen. "A major township is being attacked day in and day out," Ben Aharon said. "We have the power to put an end to this shameful situation, but the leadership has pretexts. They look into defensive measures of strengthening the roofs of buildings... it's an utter inability and a bankruptcy."
Ben Aharon believes that the challenge for Israelis today is to truly understand the political issues of the day and avoid the strong media angles that influence their decisions. He stated that the media needs to present the hard facts and let the listener reach his or her own conclusion.  "I have faith in our people," Ben Aharon said. "So many times, the people are wiser than the leadership... We have, unfortunately, a media that is failing in its mission... but apparently [Israelis] are marching in the same direction. There is a kind of paralysis. They're all under the same kind of influence. They believe constantly that this leadership and the previous leadership is the only one that is capable of providing solutions that are vital for our existence."
Ben Aharon also said that the media and the leadership "go hand in hand." He said that they provide intellectual support for each other, and "they are all sitting in musical chairs. They all change their opinions. They think everyone is listening to them and that they're providing counsel to the people, but they don't realize that they are only providing it to each other." Ben Aharon attributes the public’s disappointment in failed peace treaties to a "false diet of peace" that Israelis are fed to trick them into believing that peace is just around the corner. "The people of Israel look to the leadership. They thought that they were capable of bringing this about. They thought Prime Ministers would bring peace, and they were disappointed. However, they refused to believe that their leadership failed. They were brainwashed. They were made to believe that peace was obtainable. These politicians came one after the other and promised that they could provide. I think we have reached the end of the tether to this approach. Hopefully, the current leadership will step down and will be placed in a corner of history that will be completely marginal."

| So today the Gaza Muslims attacked the terminal Israel uses to provide them with fuel, killing two workers. So much for Israel's rhetoric, "we will not allow a humanitarian crisis in Gaza." Meanwhile Hamas is oppressing their own people as a means to control them. The Olmert gang is now vowing, "they will pay...," but I have my doubt that they will they will do more than their usual token actions - so as not to harm civilians.
Arch liberal Shimon Peres acknowledged yesterday that re-occupying Gaza is the only way to stop the rockets -- but that he is against it...!! He runs the government though and Hamas messes up his attempts to profit from his participation in Palestinian business, so he might just order a massive attack to save his investments. |

| It turns out that the IDF was supposed to guard the fuel depot at Nahal Oz and not the gas company, Dor Alon.
Conspiracy theorists will jump to the conclusion that the Israeli government was in on this incursion. We'll still see. For now we'll go with the explanation that it is part of Hamas' strategy to get Israel to seal off Gaza again, that will give them an excuse to breach the fence separating them from the Sinai.
Israel has again played into their hands by scaling down IDF operations in Gaza during a period of relative calm. The calm was just a period of re-armament, although they probably want the Rafah crossing unguarded again to bring in stuff that can't be brought in via tunnels. (More stuff that can result in them being blown sky high due to a "work accident" or an Israeli bombing.)
I am still convinced that the Lord allowed the evacuation of the settlers from Gaza so that the Gazans can be dealt with.

| One thing believers should absolutely realize is that the "kingdom" is literal and physical.. Jesus Christ / Yashua Ha Mashiach our Redeemer LIVES in His resurrected body at the present time as ONE man...when He returns He will be living, eating, breathing, and dwelling from JERUSALEM..
Others before this generation (Christian) have only contemplated a "spiritual" Israel, or one that exists only in "their hearts".. But this generation (since the creation of Israel) is going to be alive to SEE the real kingdom in action!

 | I'm waiting for the "WHEN I bring down the white washed wall." I received this WHEN WORD at the end of 2003 and have been nagging the Lord to find out when is when. Then I realized it had started with the bringing down of Sharon. When will the process be completed though? The only scenario I can see that could lead to it is during this devastating missile war against Syria and Hizballah. I think the politicians will lose control over the army by not giving the order to take out Damascus. A general will make the decision and the people who are left will rally behind him. Hopefully he will be a not so religious Zionist (nationalist) who will face down the Orthodox on the "who is a Jew" issue and acceptance of "Others"" the Lord would want to settle in Israel - that will have lots of recaptured land to settle.. |

Is the whitewashed wall you are speaking of Ezekiel 13? I have seen that it says "untempered mortar".. is this it?:
"So will I break down the wall that ye have daubed with untempered mortar, and bring it down to the ground, so that the foundation thereof shall be discovered, and it shall fall..." v.14
"To wit, the prophets of Israel which prophecy concerning Jerusalem, and which see visions of PEACE for her, and THERE IS NO PEACE, saith the Lord God." (emphasis mine) v.16
Those who know the Lord and His plan will know that there is no peace in His return and this is a ploy of deception... as it says in v.6; Now is the time to go up to the house of Israel to stand in the BATTLE in the DAY of the LORD ...
